Israel Uses Gaza to Test and Market Weapons

Israeli drones used to bomb Palestinians in Gaza, for sale to all takers:

This Hermes 900 model was used in the Gaza offensive last summer, as documented in the article directly below.  It is pictured here, in an exhibit in Paris during an air show in 2007.  This is a product that Israel continues to market as is also explained in the article below.  Please also scroll down on this  ISDEF web page to see how Israel uses its violent and devastating offensives against Gaza to market technology and training. Their new marketing trade show is scheduled for June 2 - 4, 2015 in Tel-Aviv.  This is technology and training that may soon be utilized by the law  enforcement agencies, near you.  If we don't stand up for Palestinians, we may all end up being treated like we allow them to be treated.  It is up to us to be the change!

An Israeli drone conference is featuring a product recently used on Gaza

9.16.2014,  the Quartz journal:

"A few weeks after Israel and Hamas signed an open-ended truce to end their nearly two-month-long war in Gaza, Israeli defense contractors are parading weapons used in the conflict at a conference in Tel Aviv."

Political murders and assassinations are now made by unmanned drones at no risk of life or limb to the perpetrators.  Gaza is the testing ground.  Your own freedom and democracy may be the next victim.

Who's Profiting from Israel's Offensive in Gaza?

 10.3.2014,  The Real News:

"Every two years or so, the Israeli military attacks Gaza, attacks the Gaza Strip, and causes a lot of destruction. But right after each one of those attacks, there is a trade show in which Israeli weapon companies show their wares, show their technologies, and boast that these are the very technologies that have been used just now against Palestinians in Gaza."

  3. I have been thinking about how Israel attacks and besieges Gaza, and to a lesser degree in some ways the West Bank, and how they interfere with business and subsistence food production in both those places, forcing the people to depend on humanitarian aide, and then they only let that aid go in as Israeli made goods, so they make a profit on the humanitarian aid. And they also get military aid from the US and probably other countries, which they use in their campaigns and oppression in general. Then they market their military and policing "expertise" to other countries and to private security businesses for profit based on "proven" techniques. And they also develop weaponry and surveillance and other oppressive technology, which they then sell as "proven." It is all about profits for them, and they have come up with a system where they make profits at each stage and where they also outsource most of their expenses at each stage.

  6. This article takes a look at Israel's economic exploitation of Palestine from another perspective. " . . . the customs union between Israel and the OPT treated the two economies as dualisms that entrenched the status quo, which, at that time, had established the OPT as a reservoir of cheap labor and Israel as a production and export powerhouse. Importantly, the arrangement allowed for the unrestricted flow of Israeli goods into the Palestinian economy. Since then, the state of the Palestinian economy has only worsened, and its dependence on imports from Israel has deepened." 7. A very ill Palestinian political prisoner was recently released by Israel, with the stipulation " . . . that as a condition of his release he pay a fine of 40,000 shekels ($102,000) and be placed under probation for 18 months." When we understand that Israel controls the economy of Palestine, for the purpose of keeping the Palestinians poor and willing to work for low wages, and when we understand that 6,500 Palestinian political prisoners are currently being held by Israeli forces, with more being arrested daily, we begin to see that this political prisoner business of Israel's is quite lucrative, as well as effective for keeping Palestinian people oppressed, politically neutralized, and poor.

  10. In this video of MOSHE MASCHOVER on The World Today with Tariq Ali, Maschover discuses Israeli weapons testing on the civilians of Gaza as well as his opinion on why the U.S. and Israel have a special relationship. While there are a number of reasons, and the entire video is well worth watching, what he has to say about AIPAC and the reasons it is tolerated in the U.S. is very eye opening.

On the other hand, his statement that Palestine didn't exist before it was created by the British Mandate is ridiculous, as Palestine is discussed in the bible and it has been proven by archeologists to have very ancient roots. But other than that it is great and everyone should watch it.
